The first wartime test grain truck will leave the port of Odesa for Turkey next week.

"I am currently in my district, which is directly located in the Izmail district, where the ports of Izmail, Reni and Vylkove are located. And every day I meet with trading companies that are very much looking forward to the opening of "Greater Odessa", which will significantly improve the logistics chains for the export of our grain. Regarding the negotiations that are currently taking place at the state level between Ukraine and Turkey, I heard that next week, around July 14, one test steamer will be able to leave the port of Odesa. And then we will see how it will happen. We all hope that everything will be successful, and then every day more and more steamers will leave. The fact is that "Great Odesa" is very powerful, it will take approximately 70% of the harvest. But we temporarily lost Mariupol, Berdyansk, Kherson, the port in Mykolaiv is also not working. We need to compensate for this freight traffic with river routes. And here we have another big problem. This is the Sulina Canal, which connects the Danube River with the Black Sea and passes through Romania. There is a very long line, now more than 100 grain-carrying vessels are standing and waiting to pass through the Sulyn Sea Canal. But our Ministry of Infrastructure is solving this issue, and I am very grateful to Mr. Kubrakov and Deputy Minister Vaskov, who are in daily contact with their colleagues from Romania. If we succeed in unblocking the sea routes, we will be able to increase cargo traffic to last year's level," said Anatoliy Urbanskyi.
