According to forecasters, in recent days, scientists have discovered the movement of air masses with a high concentration of sulfur dioxide across Europe.
They argue that there is no need to worry about this, because the excess concentration is not observed in the surface layer of the atmosphere, but at an altitude of 10 to 15 km.
"It does not significantly affect the air you and I breathe. In the case of precipitation, slightly acidic rain is formed, which, again, according to scientists, does not pose a significant danger to the environment," the Hydrometeorological Center said.
Forecasters added that air masses will move quite quickly over the territory of Ukraine in the coming days.
"During the next few days, the mass of air containing high concentrations of sulfur dioxide will almost completely leave the territory of Ukraine and move to the east," experts noted.
