In the conditions of the coronavirus pandemic, healthy and safe food must be provided in schools, taking into account all anti-epidemic measures. The Ministry of Education and Science has sent a corresponding letter to the regional state administration to prevent the deterioration of nutrition conditions in educational institutions.
As noted by Acting Minister of Education and Science Sergey Shkarlet, in the context of the coronavirus pandemic, the organization of school meals requires different approaches, restrictions and rules.
In particular, buffet-style meals and self-service, as well as the operation of drinking fountains, are not allowed during quarantine.
The question should be carried out as follows:
- students must ask according to the schedule;
- the distance between the tables should be at least 1,5 m;
- there should be no more than four people at the table.
In case it is impossible to provide children with hot meals, meals are organized by handing out prepackaged food products in accordance with the Nutrition Standards in educational institutions and children's health and recreation facilities, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers dated November 22.11.2004, XNUMX.
Skarlet emphasized that school food must be high-quality, healthy and safe, especially in the conditions of quarantine, as well as during the period of temporarily established rules and restrictions.
"After the lifting of the quarantine, schools will return to the usual model of feeding children. After all, the New Ukrainian School is a safe educational environment, in which healthy school nutrition is one of the priorities," Skarlet emphasized.
