The longest in Europe: the "North-South" tram route was launched in Odesa

It stretches for almost 30 kilometers.

From September 13, 2022, the full route of tram No. 7 "North-South" was solemnly launched in Odesa.

Now it connects the residential areas of Tairov and Kotovsky.

The route starts from the ring of the 11th station of the Lustdorf road/Ilfa and Petrova and ends at St. Paustovsky

The new connection combined the routes of trams No. 3 and No. 7. Initially, tram No. 7 ran from Peresypsky Bridge to Paustovsky Street. A month ago, it was extended to Starosinnaya Square.

Note that the new route is almost 30 kilometers long and is the longest in Ukraine and Europe.

Unfortunately, the route is not as fast as originally planned — it will take about 2 hours and 20 minutes to reach the final destination.

On working days, the traffic interval will be about 5 minutes, but on weekends they will increase. 40 carriages will run along the route, including four new three-section Odissey MAX, which are the most passenger-capacity.

There are currently 7 stops on route #63 in one direction. The fare is UAH 8.
