The heating season in Odessa started on November 1, but more than a hundred schools and kindergartens continue to work in cold rooms. This was reported by the director of the municipal department of education and science, Elena Buynevych.
According to her, during the weekend, heating was turned on in 176 educational institutions, but 102 more were forced to work in cold rooms: 61 schools and 41 kindergartens.
It should be noted that all boiler houses and CHP plants are already working, but as of the morning of November 8, there were 28 power outages. Because of this, the connection of social institutions is delayed. According to Deputy Mayor Dmitry Zheman, it will be warm in educational institutions on November 9-10.
Residential houses will receive heat later.
