Tairov community: briefly about life during the war

While fierce battles continue in the war zone, and people in the occupied territories live with faith in our victory, the communities of Odesa are trying to organize a reliable rear for the displaced and are ready to shelter everyone. However, things are restless here too. Although the Odesa territorial communities are determined for the best and are doing everything possible to bring peace to our land as soon as possible. Therefore, we conclude our series with the heads of communities of Odesa with a short and succinct interview with Andriy Safronenkov, deputy of the Tairov community.

We are sure that the war affected everyone. Tell me, please, how the martial law was reflected in the work of your community?

— Small and medium-sized businesses suspended their activities, which affected the payment of expenses and receipt of funds
to the community budget.

Are there problems with employees, maybe someone went to the evacuation?

— Most of the employees of the Tairov settlement council work on a full-time basis.

— And how are things in your community with business and the work of state institutions?

— All communal facilities are working as usual. Services are provided every day. In connection with the martial law, there is a decline in production.

Do your residents need some help? Are they still coping on their own?

— Assistance is provided to vulnerable sections of the population in the Tairov community. We receive a large number of immigrants every day. Communication with volunteer organizations is maintained.

Do your stores have basic necessities and consumer goods in general? Also wondering about the fuel, how is that going?

— All necessary goods are available. The situation with fuel is the same as in the entire Odesa region.

Do you cooperate with the region? Maybe some help is coming?

— Work in the format of organizational and legal assistance is ongoing. Constant communication with the military administration

— Does the community need volunteer help?

— Round-the-clock communication with volunteer organizations is established. Private entrepreneurs also help the community.

— What do you plan to do now, and what in the future?

— To ensure a controlled situation in the community, uninterrupted operation of critical infrastructure, provision of everything necessary for vulnerable sections of the population.
