A week ago, the government expanded the possibilities of E-support. Now people 60+ can spend "a thousand for vaccination" to buy medicine in any pharmacy. How does this mechanism actually work and what can't be purchased for a "covid thousand"? ElitExpert talked about it with acting director of KP "Odespharm" Natalia Matyashchuk.
Despite the government's statement that "a thousand Zelenskyi" can now be spent in pharmacies, many pensioners are not in a hurry to go there yet. After all, in order to buy a medicine for "covid" 1000 hryvnias, you need to have a smartphone, a bank account and the "Diya" application. Many grandmothers and grandfathers are far from this, using the same push-button telephone. Nevertheless, the pharmacy says that elderly people are coming to them more and more often, wondering how to get funds after a full course of vaccination.
"People ask and contact us. Today, we issue medicines under this program. It is still a bit difficult for older people, but in principle, clarification is underway. After all, I remind you, only people who have turned 60 can buy medicines, but the state is actively considering the possibility of expanding the age range. In the future, disabled people of the first category will be connected regardless of age," Natalya Matyashchuk explained.
It is possible to buy any drugs permitted on the territory of Ukraine with or without a prescription. The buyer will be checked for age. It does not matter how old the buyer was at the time of issuing the bank card to receive the "covid thousand", the main thing is that the pensioner was 60 years old at the time of the operation.
"In order to receive the "covid 1000", patients must be vaccinated, have a "green certificate" and register in the "Action" program. After that, you need to apply in the program to receive "covid-XNUMX" UAH XNUMX. And this card is automatically generated in the bank," said the acting director. director of KP "Odespharm".
The Ministry of Finance warns that the "covid thousand" can be spent not on all the products that are in the pharmacy, but only on medicines. Pensioners will not be able to buy: dietary supplements and other drugs of unproven efficacy; cosmetics; medical accessories (inhalers, pulse oximeters, tonometers, etc.).
"Patients can purchase any medications registered in Ukraine. Biologically active additives and medical products are not included in the list," Matyashchuk added.
