Parliament will consider the budget in the first reading only after the local elections. This was stated by the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Dmitry Razumkov, during the Consensus Council.
According to him, the budget was planned to be considered tomorrow at the plenary session, however, due to the fact that many people's deputies fell ill with the coronavirus, it was not possible to hold a meeting of the specialized committee on Friday.
— According to the current legislation, the document that we were supposed to consider tomorrow is not ready. We will not be able to consider it at the plenary session. Because the People's Deputies have not yet familiarized themselves with it, and the Committee has not yet adopted the corresponding decision, Razumkov emphasized.
The speaker also noted that the document will be prepared in the near future.
— And after the elections are held, and we will return to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on November 3, according to the plan and schedule of our work, I am confident that we will be able to consider this draft law, — said Razumkov.
