Norwegian doctors discovered a new type of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in the city of Trondheim.
This was reported by the NRK television and radio company.
— We don't know where this virus came from here. So far, there have been no such variants of the virus in Norway. There was a search in international databases, and this variety was also not found there, - explained the city's chief physician Tove Rosstad.
According to the doctor, the virus mutated. Specialists came to this conclusion after it became clear that infection with this strain occurs faster. According to Rasstad, the number of people infected with COVID-19 will only increase as tests are carried out.
