A man beat a nun in Odessa region. He hit her on the head with a beer bottle, after which the woman was hospitalized. They have been fighting for more than 20 years because of the area for grazing cows. About this says in the Unified State Register of Court Decisions.
The incident occurred near the village of Hlubokoye in the Tatarbunar district. Cows from the monastery wandered onto a plot bought by a local resident to graze his cattle. After that, misunderstandings began between the owner of the site and the abbess of the monastery.
The quarrel ended with the fact that the man hit the back and pushed the nun, and also smashed a beer bottle on her head. The woman lost consciousness, and in the hospital it was found that she had a concussion.
In court, the man stated that he did not hit the nun and that she herself fell. But the judge did not believe the accused and sentenced him to 4 months in prison. Since the man had previously been tried and was on probation, the court decided to add the term of the current charge to the previous one and sent him behind bars for 5 years and 4 months. In addition, the man was ordered to pay 25 hryvnias in moral compensation and more than 2 hryvnias in material compensation.
