Major businessman Vladimir Galanternyk, who is called the "gray cardinal of Odessa", was declared wanted by NABU. This is stated on the official website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
NABU detectives incriminate him for his involvement in the creation of a criminal organization in Odessa, which caused damage to the city in the amount of UAH 689 million.
They believe that in 2015-2019, the mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov, along with other officials of the Odessa city hall, helped to illegally transfer six plots of communal land with a total area of almost 16 hectares for development.
According to them, the main benefit from the scheme was allegedly received by Odessa businessman Vladimir Galanternyk, whom the investigation considers the organizer of the criminal scheme.
According to the NABU press service, the date of Galanternyk's disappearance is considered to be August 31, 2021, and the place of disappearance is the city of Kharkiv.
It is known that the businessman was declared not only in the All-Ukrainian, but also in the international wanted list, since he now lives in London.
