People's Artist of the USSR Armen Dzhigarkhanyan died at the age of 86.
The cause of the artist's death was age and kidney disease, from which he suffered.
In recent years, Dzhigarkhanyan often ended up in the hospital. In June 2020, he was hospitalized in serious condition with a stroke. Then his ex-wife Vitalyna Tsymbalyuk-Romanovskaya explained that the actor's condition worsened due to the sedentary lifestyle he led in self-isolation.
In 2018, Dzhigarkhanyan was hospitalized five times.
Armen Dzhigarkhanyan was born on October 3, 1935. Since 1996, he has been the president and artistic director of the Moscow Drama Theater. The artist is known for his roles in such films as "Hello, I'm your aunt!", "The meeting place cannot be changed", "The dog in the hay", "The Elusive Avengers" and many others.
