The European Union can exclude Ukraine from the list of "green" countries whose citizens can visit EU states for tourist purposes. The ambassadors of the European Union adopted such a decision on November 5, and it will enter into force from the following week, from November 9.
We are talking about the list of Covid-safe countries, since the epidemiological situation has recently worsened in Ukraine.
In turn, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dmitry Kuleba, said that there will be no total closure of the borders.
"After the exclusion of Ukraine from the "green list" of the EU, there will be no total closure of the borders of the European Union. This is a recommendation, and the final decisions will be made by each individual EU country. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is actively working with partners to preserve maximum freedom of travel for Ukrainians," Kuleba said.
Note that the "green list" is reviewed by EU ambassadors every two weeks.
