Immediately after the arrest, Navalny called on Russians to take to the streets with protests

Large shares will be held on January 23

After the arrest of the Russian oppositionist Alexei Navalny, a video appeared with his appeal in which he calls on Russians to go out to protests. The appeal was recorded in the building of the Khimki police department, where the court session was held.

"I urge you: do not be silent, resist, go out into the streets. No one will protect us except ourselves. And there are so many of us that if we want to achieve something, we will achieve it!" - says the oppositionist.

"Navalny's headquarters began preparations for rallies. On January 23, large actions in support of Alexei Navalny will be held throughout Russia," says the message of the NEXTA Live Telegram channel.

As a reminder, the Russian opposition figure has been in Germany since the summer of 2020. He was brought there at the end of August, after he lost his creation during the flight from Tomsk to Moscow. European and British experts after studying the analyzes came to the conclusion that the politician was poisoned with "Novichok". Navalny made the decision to return to Russia in January 2021. On the 17th, he arrived at the Moscow airport, where he was detained.
