Odesa heavyweight boxer Tsotne Rohava lost the 1/8 finals of the boxing tournament of the 2020 Summer Olympics. He lost to one of the favorites of this weight category — Briton Fraser Clarke.
Tsotne tried to work as the first number, was more accurate, but Clark surpassed him in activity, delivered more blows. The man from Odessa didn't have enough strength for the last round, but he still continued to respond to all the British's blows, punched counter jabs, and worked on the body. But it was clear that Clark worked with reserve, his blows were heavy and he won, as expected.
The judges' opinions were divided — 4:1 (30:27, 30:27, 27:28, 30:27, 30:27) in favor of Fraser. One German referee awarded the first two rounds to Odessa.
Of the four Ukrainian boxers who started at the Olympics, only Oleksandr Khizhnyak continues to fight for medals. He made it to the quarterfinals. The rest lost in their first matches.
