The prosecutor's office is demanding 11 years in prison, as the defense is asking the court to impose any sentence not related to imprisonment.
Updated:
The court sentenced Efremov to 8 years in a general regime colony and a fine of 800 rubles in favor of the eldest son of the deceased.
The sentence was passed based on the fact that Mikhail Efremov did not admit his guilt. The car he was driving was in working order. The judge noted that Mikhail Efremov did nothing to avoid an accident, did not make any maneuvers. And the actions of the deceased Sergei Zakharov in the accident could not lead in any way. The court found Efremov guilty and sane and did not accept the arguments of the actor's defense that Zakharov died due to a medical error.
