For the third time, the Bilhorod-Dnistrovsky port is submitted for privatization. The object is mainly operated as a dry port, and has great prospects and strategic importance in case of resumption of navigation on the Dniester. The starting price is almost 185 million hryvnias, reported in the State Property Fund of Ukraine.
The auction will be held on June 6. The starting price this time decreased by almost three million and now amounts to 184 hryvnias, the amount of the guarantee fee is 918 million hryvnias. The lot includes the complete property complex of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovsky port, in particular: the building and facilities of the sea trade port in Bilhorod-Dnistrovsky, the port-point "Bugaz" in Zatoka, the recreation center "Pryboy" in Zatoka, 460 ships, 36,98 locomotives, 9 gantry cranes , 4 vehicles. The total area of the privatization object is 59 hectares of the main production area of the port and more than 5 hectares of the territory of the Bugaz port point, located in the village of Zatoka.
The first auction, which did not take place due to the lack of applications from buyers on March 3, offered a starting price of UAH 187,6 million.
At the second auction, On March 13, the starting price was UAH 93,78 million, and the winner was the company Ukrdoninvest, which purchased the Bilhorod-Dnistrovsky port for UAH 264 million. But at the end of April, the company Ukrdoninvest, owned by businessman Vitaly Kropachev, refused to buy the Belgorod-Dniester seaport at the stage of negotiating the terms of the sales contract with the regional branch of the Federal Ministry of Finance in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions.
The FSMU noted that from May 2022, the enterprise began shipping grain, transshipment of iron ore pellets, and transshipment of metal products. Thanks to this, the port has returned to life, but it needs further significant financial investments. The restoration of full-fledged activity is possible only with the involvement of significant investments, because the enterprise was unprofitable even before the full-scale invasion, had debts from wages and to budgets of various levels.
