The main task of the enterprise is the water supply and drainage of the city of Odessa and nearby settlements. In order to provide high-quality and uninterrupted services, Vodokanal is modernizing its facilities — pumping stations, laboratories, and sewage treatment plants.
Replacing worn and emergency networks was one of the company's priorities in 2020, since the reliability of water supply depends on the condition of pipelines. Before the start of repair work, the engineers of "Infoksvodokanal" with the help of modern software - the Geoinformation System keep records of damaged water supply and sewage lines, and also draw up a plan for the priority replacement of networks in the most emergency areas.
In 2020, Vodokanal specialists laid 16454 meters of new networks, which is much more than in previous years. New pipes were laid in the worn-out sections of the water pipeline along the streets of Maria Demchenko, Semen Paliya, Stepan Oleinyk, Nebesnoy Sotna Avenue, and the section of the water supply on Zatok. According to German renovation technology, the sewage collector on Motornaya street was renewed.
"Infoksvodokanal" uses high-quality pipes of leading manufacturers, the service life of which will be at least 50 years. And the works themselves are carried out using modern technologies, which allow to minimize excavations, disconnection of services and inconvenience for consumers.
It should be noted that earlier the company updated about 193 kilometers of water and sewage networks. In turn, the director of "Infoksvodokanal" Igor Lysenko assured that network renewal remains one of the company's priorities this year as well, because uninterrupted and high-quality water supply to Odessa residents depends on it. In particular, new pipelines will be laid along Lvivskaya, Osypova, Melnitskaya, Generala Petrova, Izvestkova and other streets.
