Almost 2,28 million hryvnias were allocated to the victims of fires in the Luhansk region as part of the provision of one-time monetary assistance. The corresponding decision was taken by the Cabinet of Ministers during its meeting.
In particular, the funds will be sent to provide one-time cash assistance to persons who received severe and minor injuries during the large-scale destructive fires in the region in July.
Thus, at the end of July it became known that large-scale fires in the Luhansk region caused more than 1 billion hryvnias in damage to the North Donets forestry. The fire affected almost 8 thousand hectares of forest.
It should be noted that large-scale fires broke out in the Luhansk region on the afternoon of July 7. The fire occurred at once in several settlements of the Novoaidar district. Because of the strong wind and heat, the area of the fire starts to increase sharply.
