Another school playground appeared in Odessa. It was opened on the territory of general education school No. 10 as part of the implementation of the winning project "Public Budget".

"The small school territory does not allow us to build a multifunctional sports complex here. Previously, there was no suitable place for sports here at all. Today, there is a playground where you can play basketball, mini-football, and volleyball. Now school students have the opportunity to play sports and prepare for competitions. It's very good when young people are interested in sports, because the less time they spend on completely unnecessary hobbies," stressed the mayor of the city, Gennady Trukhanov.
According to the director of the school, Vladimir Shokhin, the site was built in less than two months, the builders worked literally around the clock.
In addition, modern lighting has been installed, thanks to which it will be possible to practice even in the dark.
The total cost of the project was 1,4 million hryvnias.
"There are more than 120 schools in Odessa and, unfortunately, we cannot repair everything at once. But the city council has been paying increased attention to this issue for more than four years, and even now, despite the fact that due to the pandemic, we have lost close to a billion budget funds, we have not cut any social programs. Therefore, I am very glad that now it is the turn of school No. 10. Big starts from small. I am sure that in the near future we will start repairing the school itself," the mayor noted.
