A mural dedicated to doctors will appear on the territory of the Jewish Hospital (City Clinical Hospital No. 1 at Myasoedovskaya St., 32).
In the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, doctors have become like the famous Odessa Atlanteans from Gogol Street, on whose shoulders the whole world rests, said the author of the idea, patron of the project, head of the Odessa studio Peach Aleksey Shkurat.
"Doctors have saved Odessa from various epidemics more than once. Plague, cholera, now coronavirus - at the cost of their own lives, health, they are always the first to come face to face with diseases. We wanted to connect Odessa culture, doctors and the value of their work in one project. This is how the Odessa Atlanteans became doctors who hold the planet on their shoulders and save our lives," noted Alexey.
The artists did not choose the Jewish hospital by chance - there are two wards for patients with COVID-19. However, the artists do not plan to stop there - Alexey Shkurat intends to bring to life a series of similar art objects in collaboration with other Odessa artists.
Artists use environmentally friendly paints, after the completion of the work the mural will be covered with varnish that will protect it from wind and rain.
