Investigators opened a criminal investigation into the death of two patients in the hospital of Zhovkva, Lviv region. This was reported in the communication department of the police of the Lviv region.
Information about the death of two people first appeared on social networks.
As law enforcement officers found out, on November 27, in the period from 17.50:19.10 p.m. to 61:66 p.m., there was no power supply in the Zhovkov district hospital. At that time, two local residents aged XNUMX and XNUMX, who were connected to ventilators, died in the intensive care unit. The preliminary cause of death was respiratory failure.
The operatives also established that the hospital has two electric generators in case of an emergency power outage. However, they were not used.
On this fact, the investigators opened criminal proceedings under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: part 2 of article 367 (Official negligence) and part 2 of article 119 (Murder by negligence).
