The government supported the proposal of the Ministry of Education and Science to establish a State Biotechnology University in Kharkiv region. The relevant order was adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers on May 12.
"The new powerful regional university will operate in Kharkiv Oblast with the aim of meeting the needs of the labor market for relevant specialists and improving competitive opportunities for obtaining high-quality higher education," noted Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet.
Kharkov National Technical University of Agriculture named after P. Vasilenko, Kharkiv State Zoo Veterinary Academy, Kharkov National Agrarian University named after V. Dokuchaev and Kharkiv State University of Nutrition and Trade will join the newly created State Biotechnology University.
Applicants for higher education and other persons who study at the specified educational institutions will continue their studies at the newly created university in the chosen specialties and sources of funding.
The financing of the university will be carried out within the limits of the expenses provided by the Ministry of Education and Science.
