Border guards at the international airport "Odessa" blocked a request for illegal import into Ukraine of more than 200 modern Apple mobile devices. This was reported in the Odessa border guard.
A batch of branded iPhone 13 Pro Max phones was illegally tried to be transported by our compatriot returning home from the UAE.
To pass the control, the man chose the green corridor and deliberately wanted to avoid customs payments for the transportation of valuables. In addition, he behaved quite aggressively, not wanting to comply with the legal requirements of law enforcement officers to inspect things, and asked in every way to leave the territory of the checkpoint as soon as possible. However, he did not succeed.
During the inspection of four suitcases, law enforcement officers found 204 IPhone 13 Pro Max in branded packages. The phones were seized, their total value is more than 7 million hryvnias.
In addition, the violator is subject to administrative liability under Article 185-10 "Malicious disobedience to a lawful order or demand of a serviceman or employee of the State Border Service of Ukraine or a member of a public formation for the protection of public order and the state border."
