The employees of the Security Service of Ukraine blocked the distribution channels of adulterated alcohol in Kyiv, Odesa and Vinnytsia regions, and also exposed the smuggling traffic of foreign tobacco supplies. This was reported in the SBU press center.

In the capital region and in the Odesa region, cyber specialists traced the channel of smuggling wholesale consignments of cigarettes to Ukraine. Dealers sold illegally obtained products through a branched network of anonymous Internet resources. According to operational information, they sold more than 50 tobacco products every month. dollars
According to the preliminary data of the investigation, the illegal activity was organized by two residents of the Ovidiopol district of the Odesa region. Dealers offered goods received outside customs control to customers on specially created Internet platforms. They used postal services to send products to customers.
In addition, in the Odesa region, according to the SBU materials, they reported the suspicion of the organizer of a large-scale scheme of underground production and sale of alcohol products of dubious quality. The monthly turnover of counterfeits amounted to UAH 3 million.
According to the investigation, the illegal business was organized by a resident of the Razdelnian district. To manufacture the surrogate, the participants of the scheme set up underground workshops on the territory of their own households. They sold ready-made "products" under the guise of well-known brands through affiliated retail outlets and catering establishments in the region.
In the Vinnytsia region, the SBU warned that almost five tons of falsified alcohol had fallen into retail networks.
During the processing of operational information, law enforcement officers discovered counterfeit goods in the truck of a private postal operator. A fake was also seized from a warehouse in one of the border towns of the region.
At this time, law enforcement officers are continuing investigative actions to bring to justice all persons involved in illegal activities. Investigators establish the sources of origin of the raw materials and the place of underground production of the counterfeit.
