Counterintelligence officers of the Security Service of Ukraine exposed and detained a resident of the Donetsk region. He was recruited by representatives of the so-called "Ministry of State Security of the DPR", controlled by the Russian special services. This was reported in the SBU press center.
The operatives of the special service established that the man at the time of detention held a position in one of the public organizations, which is an executive partner of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
On the instructions of the curators, he collected and transmitted information about the deployment locations, the regime of protection of the objects of the Security Service, the Armed Forces, the National Guard, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense and the State Tax Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk region, as well as about the movement of personnel and military equipment in the area of the OOS .
An agent of the enemy's special service was informed of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 1 of Article 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Creation of a terrorist group or terrorist organization). The issue of choosing a restraining order for the detainee is being resolved.
