Cyber specialists of the Security Service of Ukraine blocked a network of anonymous online resources through which dealers sold fake medical documents. This was reported in the SBU press center.
The organizers, in particular, sold fake certificates with negative test results for COVID-19 and temporary disability certificates.
During the pre-trial investigation, SBU officers documented that a network of web resources was founded in July 2020 by two residents of the Kyiv region. Criminals accepted orders for the production of fake negative results of PCR tests for COVID-19 for travel abroad. They also falsified medical certificates to obtain driver's licenses and temporary disability certificates with fake seals of state and municipal medical institutions of Kyiv.
According to preliminary information, dealers sold up to ten fakes every day. Their cost depended on the type of document and the urgency of production and was on average 1 thousand. UAH
The operatives of the special service established that the perpetrators registered several fictitious companies and opened bank accounts for dummy persons. They used the details to obtain funds for forged documents. The transfer of "messages" to customers was carried out through express delivery services.
In the course of searches at the addresses of the organizers of the illegal business, law enforcement officers discovered and seized computer equipment and mobile devices with evidence of illegal activity.
Sledstvennye actions are ongoing, the question of notifying criminals of suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: 358 (Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and blanks) and 205-1 (Forgery of documents submitted for state registration of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs) is resolved. .
