During the meeting of the "Servant of the People" faction, the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Law Enforcement, Denys Monastyrsky, was presented to the people's deputies as a candidate for the post of Minister of Internal Affairs.
People's deputy from "Servants of the People" Yevgenia Kravchuk told about this in a commentary for "Ukrainskaya Pravda".
"Monastyrsky was officially presented as a candidate for the post of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs," the People's Deputy reported.
She also added that since Arsen Avakov's resignation was of his own free will, the faction will support his resignation.
Also, according to Kravchuk, the faction as a whole will support Monastyrsky for the post of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The second questions were not considered at the faction where President Volodymyr Zelensky was present.
Kravchuk also said that a vote in the Verkhovna Rada on Avakov's resignation is planned for Thursday morning, and Monastyrskyi will be appointed after the break.
