During a press marathon on Friday, November 26, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that there is evidence that a coup d'état is being prepared in Ukraine at the beginning of December.
"I received information that there will be a coup d'etat in our country on December 1-2," he said.
"We have not only intelligence information, but also audio information where representatives from Ukraine, let's say, are discussing with representatives of Russia, let's say, they are discussing the participation of Rynata Akhmetov in the coup d'état in Ukraine. What will attract a billion dollars, etc.
I believe that this is a setup for businessman Rynat Akhmetov, who is being dragged into the war against the state of Ukraine. I think that he started it, that it will be his biggest mistake — you can't fight against your people, against the president who was elected by the people of Ukraine," Zelensky said.
The President added that he is inviting Akhmetov to his office for a discussion in connection with the available data. "I invite the ego to Bankovaya, they will listen to the information that can be shared," Zelensky said.
At the same time, he added that he is not going to run away, like Yanukovych, but will continue to work.
"I want to say that I am not Yanukovych, I will not run away anywhere. And Poroshenko will not climb into the bulldozer for the death of the Heavenly Hundred... I will wait for everyone who gathers these days. I will work at Bankova," he added.
