Traces of poison from the Novichok group were found in Alexei Navalny's body. This is stated in the press release of the German government.
The poison was discovered after conducting tests in a special laboratory. The German authorities have declared that they condemn the attempt on Navalny and demand from the Russian authorities an explanation of what happened. In addition, the German Foreign Ministry will summon the Russian ambassador to Germany to discuss the situation with Navalny.
In turn, Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that Berlin did not inform Moscow of its findings and that they had no information about the poisoning of "Novichok".
Let us remind you that his condition worsened on August 20, when he returned to Moscow from Tomsk by plane. The plane made an emergency landing in Omsk.
Regarding the "Novichok" poison: in 2018, the British authorities accused Moscow of the fact that the former double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter were poisoned with this type of poison.
