The Constitutional Court ruled that the Presidential Decree on the appointment of Artyom Sytnyk as the head of NABU does not comply with the Constitution. This is reported by "Strana.yua" with reference to a source in the Constitutional Court.
The People's Deputies appealed to the Central Committee on this issue, who believed that ex-President Petro Poroshenko, who appointed the director of NABU in April 2015, exceeded the scope of his constitutional powers. In their opinion, the appointment of the NABU director does not belong to the powers of the president enshrined in the Constitution.
The Constitutional Court agreed with these 10 votes.
