The details of a five-month-old road accident became known, when in August of last year a drunken deputy from "Servants of the People" got into a road accident while entering Kyiv. The journalists of "Ukrainskaya Pravda" published a video from the body camera of the policeman who was the first to arrive at the scene of the accident and did not let the people's deputy escape into the forest, despite demands for a bribe.
David Arahamia has already reacted. He says that Trukhin does not belong in the "Servant of the People" party, either he leaves himself or he is expelled. Today he was expelled from the party.
"This will mean the termination of his powers as the head of the Poltava regional organization of the party. The party also calls on the "Servants of the People" faction in the Verkhovna Rada to hold a meeting as soon as possible and consider the incident involving Alexander Trukhin in order to make a decision," said party leader Elena Shulyak.
Prosecutor General Irina Venediktova instructed to register criminal proceedings against Alexander Trukhin, as the matter is not only about participation in a road accident.
"Without delay, I gave the order to register the criminal proceedings. Unfortunately, it's not just about being involved in a road accident. It is quite obvious that there are many more questions to study. The investigation is determined by NABU," the Prosecutor General wrote on Facebook.
As a reminder, on August 23, on the Boryspil highway at the entrance to Kyiv, Trukhin at high speed crashed into a Ford, which in turn rammed a Daewoo. As a result, 6 people were injured, including two children.
The news about the accident spread all over the media, and the next day about 30 media deleted it or removed the mention of Trukhina. Also, several editorials of Ukrainian publications reported that they were approached with a commercial offer to remove the news about the road accident.
