US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin arrived today on an official visit to Ukraine. He reported this to himself on page c Twitter.
He noted that he flew to Ukraine to confirm the steadfast support of our country's sovereignty, territorial integrity and Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
"I am here to express our commitment to the development of Ukraine's ability to deter further Russian aggression," the head of the Pentagon said.
As part of the visit, Austin will meet with the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Taran. Among the issues that will be discussed by the heads of the defense departments of the two countries are Ukraine's progress in implementing reforms in the sphere of defense and the military-industrial complex (necessary for membership in NATO), as well as the security situation in the Black Sea.
The head of the Pentagon will also hold a meeting with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
It should be noted that Lloyd Austin's visit to Ukraine is a continuation of the dialogue started during the visit of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi to the USA in August of this year.
