In 5-10 years, President Volodymyr Zelensky sees Ukraine as a security outpost, a multihub, a successful and stable country, where there is more justice and more opportunities.
The president announced this at the presentation to US officials of the plan for the transformation of Ukraine.
"We have a clear vision of what Ukraine should be in five to ten years. This is an ambitious plan for the transformation of our state. More justice, more opportunities - we will build a successful and stable Ukraine," he said.
According to him, the document entitled "A Greater Justice and Opportunity – Building Prosperous and Resilient Ukraine" defines the vision of Ukraine's development in the coming years as "a security outpost, a digital, infrastructural and agrarian hub."
In particular, the plan for the transformation of Ukraine's economy envisages the development of human capital, the provision of "green" transformation, the country's energy security, and the development of Ukraine's strategic partnership with the United States.
The document contains more than 80 "specific joint economic and investment projects" for a total of 277 billion dollars, which are supposed to be financed from the state budget and through international aid programs, loans, and investments.
The President expressed the hope that American partners will actively join the implementation of this ambitious plan.
Zelensky added that now all changes in the country are taking place in the conditions of war, so security remains a key challenge for Ukraine, and the full restoration of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity is a key goal.
The President emphasized that despite all the difficulties and threats, Ukraine today is carrying out a number of "systemic reforms" and is a country of freedom, hope, movement "only forward" and development.
