The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, signed a law that introduces fines for being in public places and in transport without a protective mask. The amount of the fine will be from 10 to 15 tax-free minimum incomes of citizens (170-255 hryvnias).

"President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed the Law "On Amendments to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses Regarding the Prevention of the Spread of the Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19)" No. 1000-IX, which was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on November 6, 2020," the message says. that the relevant law supplements Article 44-3 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses with part two. In particular, the addition provides for the imposition of a fine from 10 to 15 tax-free minimum incomes of citizens for staying in public buildings, facilities, public transport during the quarantine period without wearing respirators or protective masks. The law states that protective equipment can be made independently and must cover the nose and mouth.
