In Odessa, on Samoletnaya Street, a complete replacement of the sewer collector with a diameter of 800 mm is being carried out. This was reported in the press service of the "Infoksvodokanal" branch.
According to experts, due to the active development in the nearby areas, the load on the existing collector has increased dramatically, the concrete pipes of which have started to be damaged. This created a lot of inconvenience for residents of Samoletnaya, Kustanayskaya and a number of other streets.
Due to the impracticality of the repair, the employees of "Infoksvodokanal" decided to replace the reinforced concrete pipe with a modern polyethylene pipe with an increased diameter of 1000 mm. It is resistant to aggressive environments, loads and corrosion, and can last at least 50 years.
The work was divided into three stages. The first 600 meters were laid last year, and another 400 meters are to be completed this year. And in 2021, the remaining 500 meters of the pipeline will be replaced.
Specialists noted that during the installation of the collector, consumers do not turn off water drainage services, which significantly complicates the work itself. Moreover, the duration of the terms is affected by the presence of man-made groundwater during excavations and the connection of residents to already new networks. However, despite the duration of the works, residents of Lenposelk will be able to receive high-quality, uninterrupted and comfortable water drainage services, which is the most important thing for the Infoksvodokanal company.
