The Irpen Correctional Center (No. 132), located in the village of Kotsyubynskoye, Kyiv Region, is for sale. This was reported by the head of the Ministry of Justice, Denys Malyuska, on Facebook on Wednesday, February 17.
The starting price of the lot was 220 million 211 thousand 588 hryvnias.
"Go first! The "Big Prison Sale" has reached the stage of the first auction. If someone has an extra 220 million and wants to buy a small prison a few kilometers from Kyiv — "Welcome"! the minister wrote.
According to him, the department will spend 70% of the proceeds from the sale on "the development of a new prison infrastructure that will meet European standards", the remaining 30% will go to the state budget.
According to the data on the website of the State Property Fund, the area of the houses put up for sale reaches 24 thousand square meters, they are located on a plot of land with an area of more than 8 hectares.
Let us remind you that the Ministry of Justice intends to put up for sale 35 Ukrainian prisons, each of which has already ceased its specialized activities.
