As of January 6, almost 91% of education workers have received both doses of the biphasic vaccine against COVID-19, and another 5,3% are awaiting the second vaccination. This was reported by the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet.
The largest number of teachers vaccinated with two doses are shown in the following regions: Dnepropetrovsk - 96,08%; Poltava - 95,63%; Luhansk - 95,62%; Cherkasy – 95,41%; Sumy - 95,40%.
Indicators of vaccinated employees among educational institutions (full cycle):
- specialized education - 96,72%;
- professional – 93,75%;
- general average – 92,87%;
- preschool – 90,34%;
- vocational before higher education - 87,45%;
- higher - 82,94%.
"About schools: 2,7% of employees of general secondary education institutions have not yet joined the vaccination campaign, of which more than 9,3 thousand have confirmed medical contraindications, this is 1,4% of the total number. The largest number of such teachers are in the Lviv (1095 people), Odesa (1035) and Rivne (853) regions. Only four schools are working remotely, while more than 13 thousand are on vacation. 0,6% of the total number of school employees remain suspended," the minister noted.
