"Ukrzaliznytsia" from November 1 reduces the cost of travel in the first class carriages of Intercity + high-speed trains by 15% in an internal message. Acting member of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia Oleksandr Pertsovsky reported this.
"We invite passengers to travel by high-speed trains, and those who used the second class to transfer to the first. Our trains are a safer and more comfortable form of transport," Pertsovsky noted.
He also said that the fare will change not only depending on the date, but also the day of the week. In particular, it is cheaper to use a first-class carriage of a high-speed train on Tuesday, more expensive on Friday, since different rate indexation coefficients apply. In addition, there is a 10% discount when buying round-trip tickets.
Most of all, passengers of Intercity + trains will be able to save on the cost of travel in first-class carriages if they buy tickets 30 days before the train departure date.
Ukrzaliznytsia is confident that after the 15-percent discount, the cost of travel in Intercity + first-class carriages will be competitive with air transport.
