"Ukrzaliznytsia" plans to start the restoration of international passenger transportation to Austria and Hungary on the Kyiv-Vienna and Chop-Zakhon routes already in June. This was reported by the Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Krykly.
According to him, the relevant preliminary agreements between the countries have been reached at this time.
"Negotiations are also underway with PKP Intercity and Polish Railways. Follow the information on entry conditions and current restrictions on the territory of foreign states on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant embassies and travel safely," Krykly noted.
According to him, control over compliance with all anti-epidemic measures on international routes will be strengthened.
"Currently, Ukraine and neighboring countries are witnessing a stabilization of the situation with the spread of the coronavirus infection. This allows negotiations with railway administrations of neighboring countries on the restoration of international routes. Last week, they inspected the readiness of the infrastructure in the west of the country, which borders the countries of Europe. Here we started a number of projects and works. Therefore, I can say with confidence that Ukrzaliznytsia is ready to restore these transportations," said the acting director. Chairman of the Board of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" Ivan Yuryk.
