On Friday, September 8, the Romanian National Committee for Emergency Situations decided to strengthen measures to protect the population in the areas near the Ukrainian ports on the Danube, which are being shelled by the Russian Federation. A local portal writes about it Digi24.
The committee's decision authorizes the Ministry of National Defense to identify areas on the Romanian bank of the Danube, opposite the Ukrainian ports of Reni, Kilia and Izmail, which have been bombarded by the Russians for several weeks. Measures to protect the population must be introduced in these areas.
Among such measures is the sending of Ro-Alert messages in areas where there is a risk of falling "elements belonging to means of warfare used in the conflict."
In addition to notifying the public with Ro-Alert messages, county emergency inspectors will instruct local residents on how to act in threatening situations.
Shelters will be built in Plauru and Çatalkioi settlements, as well as in other settlements.
Also in the country began to discuss evacuation residents of the villages on the Danube opposite the Ukrainian ports.
It will be recalled that on September 4, Ukraine reported that during the Russian attack by "Shahed" on Izmail and Reni two drones fell and exploded on the territory of Romania.
