Starting in 2022, Poland decided to toughen fines for those who work in the country illegally. In particular, this concerns visitors from other countries, including Ukrainians. Karolina Shleshinskaya, vice president of the international employment company Gremi Personal, stated this.
According to her, employees who work in Poland illegally will be fined. They are also threatened with deportation and even a ban on entering Poland for up to 5 years.
In order to detect illegal employment in Poland, inspectors may appear at the enterprise at any time to check whether all foreigners are legally employed and receive official wages.
Note that many Ukrainians continue to work illegally in Poland in order to receive a higher salary.
