Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal called on the regions to refrain from mass events in the near future. This was discussed on October 12 at a conference call with regional leaders.
The head of government announced the current statistics on the incidence of the coronavirus and noted that the critical situation continues to remain in the Kharkiv region.
"In the last 741 hours, 418 people have fallen ill in Kharkiv Oblast - this is an absolute record. 200 people fell ill in the Sumy region. More than XNUMX in Kyiv, Poltava, Rivne and Khmelnytskyi regions. There are clear trends in the increase in the number of diseases," Shmyhal emphasized.
And he called on the leaders of all regions to refrain from holding mass events in the near future, including congresses and conferences.
"On the Day of the Defender of Ukraine, solemn events are planned in different cities. Please maintain a dialogue and actively work with the organizers so that the events take place in safe conditions with observance of all anti-epidemic rules," said the Prime Minister.
