Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Denys Monastyrsky, asked Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal to allocate more than half a billion hryvnias for the maintenance of Afghan refugees.
In particular, the cost of major repairs of places of accommodation for refugees was estimated at 100 million. They want to spend 264 million hryvnias per hour on the maintenance of refugees, 280 million hryvnias on staff salaries (it is reported that it is necessary to provide a staff of 100 people), 90 million hryvnias on food, and 80 million hryvnias on utilities.
On the other hand, no one asked Ukrainian taxpayers whether they are ready to spend their money on the reception of Afghan refugees.
For reference: the state's debt for salaries to Ukrainian miners who risk their lives every day amounts to 1 billion hryvnias, and the authorities have not been able to find the funds to repay this debt for several years.
Recall that The US State Department asked Ukraine to accept Afghan refugees.
