In 2020, young parents showed originality in choosing a name for their newborn child.
What are these names, the Ministry of Justice said.
"In 2020, some young parents decided to show originality in choosing a name for their newborn child. So, in Ukraine, the most rare names among boys this year were Zelensky, Yanyk, Vakula, Lemon, Kyiv, Prince, Prince, Parisan. Among the girls, there were such names as Luna, Imperia, Cinderella, Khrustalina, Kvitka, Chanel, Neva. And yet the majority of parents preferred traditional names," the message says.
It is noted that Artemov, Andreev, Bogdanov, Vladyslavov, Vladimirov, Danilov, and Dmitriev appeared the most among boys this year in Ukraine. Anna, Anastasia, Antonina, Bohdana, Valery, Victoria became the most popular among female names in 2020.
