Step 1. Identification and vaccination
First of all, the animal must be chipped and vaccinated against rabies.
Microchip is a small chip, 2x12 mm in size, which is inserted under the animal's skin.
Vaccination against rabies - vaccination should be carried out only in a veterinary clinic.
Step 2. International veterinary passport
A must have pet passport, which is issued in the state institution of veterinary medicine.
The document is filled out in English and Ukrainian and is valid until the end of the animal's life. The cost of registration is approved by a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and amounts to UAH 51. 29 kopecks
Step 3. Serological test for rabies (rabies neutralization test)
Before transporting the animal, it is necessary to perform a test to determine antibodies against rabies. It is possible to conduct such an analysis only 30 days after the last vaccination.
Step 4. Veterinary certificate form 1-VET
Form 1-VET is issued by the state service of veterinary medicine no before, than 3 days before the animal's departure abroad on the basis of the animal's inspection and upon presentation of the animal's passport.
Step 5. Veterinary certificate
In Ukraine, it is issued by the veterinary service at veterinary control points at the border and transport.
