Elections after victory and who will participate in them?

In Ukrainian political and close circles, they predict that after our victory in the war, and we have no doubt about it, early parliamentary and local elections will be held in the country. This is quite natural, because after the Verkhovna Rada banned the activities of the parties "OPZZH", "Sharia" and others, the question arises about the legitimacy of the powers of their deputies and their further work in local councils and Verkhovna Rada.

It is also possible that the current government will want to get even more representation in the Verkhovna Rada and local councils and extend its term of office on the wave of victory.

Looking at the current political landscape of Ukraine, we see three main parties that will surely compete for seats in the parliament in the future: "Servant of the People" - Volodymyr Zelenskyi, "European Solidarity" - Petro Poroshenko, and "Fatherland" - Yulia Tymoshenko. It is also obvious that the leaders of these political forces will again run for office in the presidential elections. We do not deny the possibility of the appearance of other important parties and projects, but it is still too early to talk about it.

As for the balance of power, in one of the most difficult regions, the Odesa region, these three parties are adequately represented in both regional and local councils.

The head of the Odesa regional council, Hryhoriy Didenko, heads the regional organization of the "Servant of the People" party, his first deputy in the regional council, Oleg Radkovskyi, has been successfully managing the "Batkivshchyna" party in the region for more than ten years. "European Solidarity" is overseen by People's Deputy Oleksiy Honcharenko and his loyal associate Mykhailo Shmushkovych.

In Odesa in recent years, Mayor Gennady Trukhanov's Trust Party has been and remains strong, but in future political processes, it will probably have to look for allies among the political forces listed above, in order to get its representatives into the Verkhovna Rada, since it will independently enter to VR "DD" is unlikely to make it. Although in Odesa, taking into account what is happening, the "Trust in Business" party can show very good results in and in the future.

Will the electoral preferences of the three main parties change in the region next political season?

Today, the best starting positions in the "Servant of the People" party are: the head of the regional council, the secretary of the Odesa City Council and 9 out of 11 majority MPs. But there is a nuance - all the acting People's Deputies from "Servants of the People" and most of their deputies of local councils of the region ran for the first time, will they be able to hold their positions in the fight against more experienced politicians? Since it is obviously more difficult to be elected for a second term in the same region-district, during the election campaign, people are not so much interested in your promises, but in what you have done during your term of office.

The "European Solidarity" party has a heavyweight People's Deputy Oleksiy Honcharenko and a strong presence in the Odesa regional and city councils. The EU is also represented in many communities of our region. Poroshenko residents retain their active electorate, which was formed since 2014, both in Odesa and in the region.

Yulia Tymoshenko's "Fatherland" is one of the most experienced parliamentary parties in Ukraine. It has survived two Maidans and has the largest structure on the ground throughout the country.

In Odesa, the party is led by an experienced politician, ex-people's deputy of Ukraine Oleg Radkovskyi, who holds the position of first deputy in the regional council for the second convocation in a row.

The party itself does not have a majoritarian from the region, but it does have Andrii Kozhemyakin, a People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, who is assigned to the region, and who is in the Verkhovna Rada for the fifth time. In addition, Tymoshenko's party has a strong representation in the communities of the north of Odesa region.

The Odesa City Council "Batkivshchyna" is missing its second convocation, but just a few days ago, its press service announced the appointment of a new head of the Odesa city organization, Mykhailo Pozhivanov.

Previously, the politician managed to be the mayor of Mariupol, the deputy mayor of Kyiv, the People's Deputy of Ukraine for several convocations, held various government positions - so, apparently, "Batkivshchyna" took serious aim at Odesa.

The question remains open - who will the OPZZ and Sharia Party voter vote for in the future. Perhaps, with a high probability, the war will radically change this electoral field in the opposite direction, and all parties will be able to fight for this voter.

Well, for now, we wish our country victory! We are working, and Glory to Ukraine!
