The war in Ukraine is at the point of no return. At the same time, Ukraine has a clear understanding of how the situation will develop in 2024 and what is needed to win. Russia itself will not end the war, otherwise the country will disappear in its current form, and Ukraine needs to get a technological advantage over the Russian Federation, about this in an interview DW said Mykhailo Podoliak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President.
"The war is at the point of no return. Therefore, for the 24th year, and at the end of the 23rd, we have an absolutely clear understanding of what is needed." - he stated.
Podolyak listed the main points necessary for Ukraine to win. Namely:
— the first is to slightly adjust tactics from the resources that Russia uses;
— the second is to slightly adjust the strategy, taking into account the remaining dominant advantages that Russia has, so that these advantages are eliminated;
— the third — investments in those industries that need to be sharply developed in order to gain a technological advantage;
— the fourth — a sharp increase in pressure due to the very technological component of this war on one or another military order of Russia.
What will happen in case of defeat of Russia
According to Podoliak, Russia perfectly understands that if it knows defeat, collapses the front line, then its elite will cease to exist, and, in fact, Russia will cease to exist.
"It is meant not in a geographical sense, but in a political sense. They will have the same processes as in 1991, but only with greater mutual internal claims. Because they were offered one model, got another, paid for this high price, and to no avail." — said the adviser to the head of the OP.
What will happen in case of defeat of Ukraine
"It is the same with us: if we do not press on the front line, do not ensure the defeat of Russia, then the war will freeze, and the Ukrainian state, its subjectivity will constantly be under external pressure." stated Podolyak.
In his opinion, given that Russia invests large resources in constant terrorist attacks, in constant internal political conflicts, Ukraine "in principle will have an unsustainable internal political space."
