The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, welcomed the creation of the aviation coalition. He said that Ukrainian pilots are waiting for the start of training on modern American F-16 fighters.
This was reported by the head of the Ministry of Defense in Twitter.
"It seems that Santa Claus exists. A new reactive coalition was born today! Thanks for the solution, colleagues. Ukrainian pilots are looking forward to the start of training on F-16 fighters. Now they will be able to support their brothers and sisters in arms on land and at sea to win this war,” said the Defense Minister.
The defense secretary pointed out that the F-16 fighter jets were built to defeat the bad guys. Their time has come.
Reznikov thanked his colleagues — Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin, British Defense Minister Ben Wallace, Dutch Defense Minister Kajsi Ollongren, Belgian Defense Minister Ludiwin Dedonder and Danish Trolls Lund Poulsen.
He reposted his New Year's message, where he asked Santa Claus for more "important gifts" for Ukraine next year to resist Russian aggression. Then he noted that "gifts" in the form of modern Western weapons would be "very appropriate and timely."
