Since 70% of Ukrainians supported the permission to freely own and carry weapons, the Ministry of Internal Affairs is preparing amendments to the second reading of the relevant bill. The survey was conducted in the "Action" application.
"I would like to emphasize that we are talking about a pistol, not a grenade launcher or a Kalashnikov assault rifle. The Ministry agrees with the decision of the Ukrainians and amendments are already being prepared for the second reading of the draft law. Perhaps additional decisions will be introduced so that we can maintain control over the circulation of weapons: check whose it is, how the registration process will take place, in which periods the owner of the weapon must undergo inspections," Viktor Andrusiv said.
The relevant legislation will be adopted during the summer-autumn.
